I am Koichi Joe Mita, the missionary pastor of Bethel Baptist Church.

I was born and grew up in Nishio city, Aichi prefecture. My English teacher at senior high school introduced me to English Bible Class in Toyohashi city. Then I met Swedish missionary lady.  I had been attending this class for three years faithfully, but I was not interested in the Bible at all. My main interest was English.  After graduating from senior high school, I quit going to this class. Few years later, I was so disappointed with my life. So I thought about taking my life. Then the Lord led me to this class again. There I believed Jesus Christ as my personal savior.  After my salvation experience, God led me to the United States to study the Bible at college and seminary in Tennessee. 

While I wast in school God called me to be a missionary to Japan. Since that time we evangelize and make disciples of Jesus Christ.  Before I was saved, my life was so empty but now I have the peace, the joy and the eternal life through Christ. I hope you will visit our church any time.  We have the good interpreter at our worship service.
